3D PRODUCT VISUALIZATIONS
3DS Max, Photoshop, After Effects, Media Encoder
XDisc is a radical new take on the flying disc and the imagery on the website need to grab attention. I also wanted to highlight the key differences from regular flat-shaped flying discs. I decided using 3D animations of the rotating discs would easily complete these tasks. The CAD Model files were exported from AutoCAD and I imported into 3DS Max via STL file type. After the conversion, slight polishing of the mesh was required and then animations sequences were created by setting up cameras and light sources. Only one disc color animation file was produced from 3DS Max. The different colored disc animations were created in After Effects by adjusting the hue of the output files. In the Close-up animation, a light flare was added to the light highlight as it rotates off the edge of the pyramid.
